While The Lodge certainly had its historic and sentimental appeal, its hard to be anything but enthusiastic about its removal. Even the hardcore denizens of the Lodge's upstairs are celebrating this aesthetic and functional improvement. The corral now offers campers a large grassy field in which to frolic, socialize and enjoy magnificent unobstructed views. Bunks 1, 2, 3, 9, 10 and 11 have been upgraded to waterfront property. The entire lower camp seems like one big neighborhood, sharing a large grassy lakefront commons.
