Manitou is proud to say that 30% of it’s staff is comprised of former campers.

Developing good leaders and role models is something Manitou directors and staff are contuniously working on. Older campers are given the opportunity every day at camp to contribute to our camp community and the experiences of others. Over the past several years Manitou developed a formal program that both recognizes and facilitates such development opportunities. Leadership, including community service, and a Counselor in Training Program are two mainstays of the Manitou program for our older campers and will continue to evolve as our campers and staff do.

Older campers also get to experience some memorable trips and special activities together. Such experiences, along with the leadership opportunties they get as elder campers, make those senior camper summers both unforgettable and invaluable.
